  • 10 Seasonal Recipes to Try This Autumn

10 Seasonal Recipes to Try This Autumn

Autumn is the perfect season to embrace all things warm and comforting. It’s time to bring out the crockpots, fire up the ovens, and dust off those dutch ovens for a collection of delicious sweet and savory autumn favorites. This season’s recipes not only warm the heart but also bring a sense of comfort and joy to your home. Get ready to dive into a cozy culinary journey that will make your autumn days truly special.

“Autumn is the season of baking, where the warmth of the oven fills the house with the comforting scents of cinnamon, nutmeg, and pumpkin”

This is definitely my favorite season of all. Throughout the year, I love curling up on the couch with a steaming mug of coffee, no matter how hot it is. However, I believe that certain meals belong to specific times and places. Soups, casseroles, and savory pies perfectly capture the essence of this season. While the recipes I’m sharing today aren’t my own creations, they are essential, delicious dishes that truly belong on your table right now.

    1. Let’s start off with a contradiction–we all know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day–this one could probably be enjoyed year around, but it’s definitely giving me cozy slow morning vibes. Mountain Man Crock Pot Breakfast just seems so easy…especially since it cooks overnight. This layered (gluten free) breakfast casserole combines crispy hash browns, savory ham or bacon, onions, and gooey cheddar cheese, all tied together with eggs for a comforting meal when busy mornings are on the horizon. I’m gonna tell you right now though—onions won’t be making it into my version (I adjust for the picky eaters).
    2. Bacon & Cheddar Hashbrowns sound delicious but cooking them in a waffle maker just enhances all the crispy, golden brown nooks and crannies. And this recipe looks like it won’t disappoint. Loaded Hashbrown Waffles with Bacon and Cheese would be a great gluten-free make ahead option to freeze so that you can just grab them as you need one. Warm it up in the oven again and just eat as is OR add some favorite toppings–more bacon, an over-easy egg, sausage gravy…the options are limitless.
